Deciphering the Fundamentals of Cold Insulation Materials
Cold insulation systems provide thermal insulation for external and exhaust air ducts, cold water tanks, refrigeration facilities, and related pipe systems.
High-pressure steam and liquid nitrogen lines in thermal plants, the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, energy generation systems, building infrastructure, and plant construction are among the application areas.
Common Materials:
1. PUF Boards and Pipe Line:
Rigid insulation materials, such as Polyurethane Foam (PUF) boards and pipe sections, are utilized for both hot and cold insulation. They are appropriate for temperatures between -200°C and 145°C and come in a variety of thicknesses and sizes.

2. EPS Thermocol Sheets and Pipe Line:
Thermocouples, sometimes referred to as expanded polystyrene (EPS) thermocol sheets and pipe sections, are produced in a range of densities and thicknesses to accommodate temperatures between -50°C and 75°C.
THERMOCOL/PUF
Application: Packing of fabric articles like electronics & electrical goods glassware, procession and lab instruments etc. Effective and efficient insulation for low temperature appliances, i.e. cold storage, industrial refrigeration, refrigerated vans, sound insulations, commercial & household air conditioner.

3. Nitrile Rubber Sheets and Pipe Line:
These sheets and pipe sections, which are made of closed-cell elastomeric nitrile rubber foam, have strong resistance to oils and gases and low heat conductivity. They work well in temperatures between -50°C and 105°C.
NITRILE RUBBER
Application: Flexible insulation for window split AC, Ducting, Roofing, Plumbing, Refrigeration etc.
Applications:
- essential for providing insulation for cold storage facilities, refrigeration equipment, and cooling systems.
- maintains the integrity of the insulation and stops condensation in cold climates.
